This artwork depicts a United States Marine fighting in the jungles of the Pacific during the Second World War.
The Frog Skin camouflage was one of the most widely used patterns of the era, employed across the Pacific and Europe. It served the US military through multiple conflicts and remains one of the most recognisable camouflage patterns in history.
The piece was produced by Corporal Tilak Thapa Magar, a currently serving soldier with 2nd Battalion, Royal Gurkha Rifles.
